Kind of quick & dirty information handbook cover for our study abroad trip this summer. Incorporated Mesa Community College’s Pantone 2935 (blue) and 193 (red) and made a pseudo-illuminated-something. I’d probably like it better hand drawn and with more fiddly bits but I used Illustrator and kept it flat since it may get adapted for t-shirts at some point. The fonts are "Slivus" and "Old London" from dafont.com. Floral bits came from www.craftsmanspace.com/free-patterns/floral-designs.html. I don’t think I used the MCC logo exactly to their spec – it’s supposed to be slightly larger and have a bit more whitespace around it, but I just felt it looked strange off by itself. The medieval diamond pattern came with Illustrator CS5, I just recolored it. I wish I’d had a lot more time to play… maybe later in the term I can revisit. Suggestions and critique welcome.
