Animating fluids like water, smoke, and fire using physics-based simulation is increasingly important in visual effects, in particular in movies, like The Day After Tomorrow, and in computer games. This book provides a practical introduction to fluid simulation for graphics. The focus is on animating fully three-dimensional incompressible flow, from understanding the math and the algorithms to the actual implementation.

It meet my expectations and more This is a great book on the difficult topic of the mathematics of fluid simulation and animation. I have read the book a couple times and I can say that I am much more understanding of the topic. I recommend this book to anyone interested in learning some of the numerical methods behind fluid flow simulation.
Excellent Book It is almost text book about fluid dynamic. Easy to read, well explained. If you want to look at the actual codes, this is not the right book. However, If you want to know the concept and method of numerical method of fluid dynamic, it is right book for you.
